Elite Hair Education’s two-day, hands-on, Short Hair Cutting workshops are designed to give you the confidence and skills you need to achieve your haircutting goals and get you on the floor building your own clientele.  

 

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

This two-day hands-on workshop is dedicated to mastering short hair cutting with confidence, precision, and creative control. 


Combining key elements from Bootcamp and Finishing School, this program focuses on breaking down, planning, and executing modern short haircuts for both men and women. Stylists will learn how to approach short hair from a structured foundation, while developing the ability to personalise and adapt each cut to suit individual clients. 


The workshop blends fundamental principles with advanced techniques, allowing stylists to move beyond basic execution into refined, confident, and commercially relevant short hair work. 


Day One  

  • Precision, short, graduation and pixie haircuts 
  • Confidently break down short haircut images and translate them into a clear-cutting plan  
  • Apply the four principal haircuts to create structure, layering, and shape in short hair  
  • Understand and control projection, elevation, and weight distribution in short haircuts 

Day Two  

  • Pixie haircuts using disconnection and undercutting techniques to create contemporary and edgy results  
  • Personalise haircuts using detailing, and finishing techniques  
  • Adapt short haircuts to suit different hair types, including straight and wavy hair 
  • Incorporate face-framing and fringe techniques into short styles  
  • Build confidence in delivering salon-ready short haircuts that align with current trends 

 
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?:

  • Apprentices or qualified stylists who have completed Foundation Cutting or hold a Cert. III in Hairdressing  
  • Stylists who have completed Bootcamp Cutting or are looking to strengthen their existing skills  
  • Hairdressers at any level who are not yet confident cutting short hair on the salon floor  
  • Stylists ready to refine their technique, elevate their results, and grow a stronger, more loyal clientele

Mannequin made from 100% human hair.

Resources manual.

Individual, one-on-one attention.



WHAT TO BRING:

Cutting scissors, thinning scissors, 4 sectioning clips, water spray, cutting comb, clippers, 1-4 clipper attachments and neck trimmer.
