About Kylie

For the past 18 years, Kylie has been a leading and prominent hair cutting educator in Australia. She imparts high-level education to thousands of stylists each year through her industry-specific workshops and the innovative streaming on-demand app, SNIPT.

Kylie Dwyer’s hairdressing journey began in 1986, and from the very start, her passion for creativity, education, and empowering stylists has been the driving force behind her career. For 21 years, Kylie was the proud Salon Owner and Creative Director of a thriving 25-staff team, where she built a reputation for excellence, innovation, and mentorship. Her talent and leadership have taken her from the salon floor to the global stage—serving as NSW Fashion Director for Intercoiffeure, representing Australia at Mondial Paris, and coaching our national team at the World Skills Olympics.

Over the years, Kylie has worked backstage at Sydney and Melbourne Fashion Weeks for eight consecutive years, been part of the WELLA Education Team for five years, and inspired stylists across the country as Goldwell/KMS National Inspirational Educator for four years.

She has developed and delivered national training programs for franchise groups of up to 130 salons, coordinated national education mapping for Goldwell, and served as an Industry Expert Assessor for TAFE NSW. Her dedication to raising industry standards has earned her numerous accolades, including multiple Hair Expo Award finalist titles in both “Excellence in Hairdressing Education” and “Hairdressing Entrepreneur of the Year,” as well as the BRW Magazine/AFC Award for industry innovation.

Kylie’s influence extends beyond education and artistry—she’s a proud co-author of the “Pricing Your Services” app and ebook, founder of the SNIPT on-demand education app, and the creator of the Scissor Licence training program. She has served as a mentor and ambassador for the Australian Hairdressing Council, a member of the AHC Training & Education Committee, and a respected voice within the National Speakers Association. In 2018 and 2019, her dedication was further recognised as a finalist for “Educator of the Year” at both Hair Expo and AHIA.

Today, Kylie combines her deep industry knowledge with her love for innovation as the designer and importer of Elite Premium Scissors and the founder of Elite Hair Education—offering high-quality training, tools, and inspiration to help stylists not only refine their craft but also protect their health and thrive in their careers.
